Invisible Flags

Invisible flags wave,
not on any TV screen
or in the emoting eyes of
anchor-persons. No
politician pins one
to a lapel or security
agent. Only fire,
and the other energies
that know no hesitation,
make what's unseen
appear. The smoke
churns behind them,
cutting the neoned sky
with turbulence.
