Including this

A turtle is eating a dragonfly,
its jaw working
its life into its life
and into this working of
being
including this,
its jaw working
and its heart beating
deep inside the hardness
of its shell.

The insect,
so iridescently blue
in its carapace of hovering,
has all
but vanished inside the span of
the turtle's throat
and life.

I could take
this rock and crush this
turtle's brain and brittle body
beneath its lasting hardness.
Like this,
it would and wouldn't do
everything and nothing.
